Is there any type of guide or recommended way of setting up folder sharing in Windows 10 so that multiple users can connect to the company file? I have a very powerful windows 10 Pro Machine that I would like to host the company file (we use enterprise) and make that available on the network to the other six employees in the office. I need to know step by step the best way to setup windows 10 to share the folder on the network with the company files so that our other six computers in the office (also running win 10) can see the folder and access it. I found a couple QB guides online but none of the explain the directions on properly sharing a folder across the network. Thanks,
I need to be able to upload bank & credit card transactions with their category and class already assigned. I use to do this with QB Desktop. I expected to be able to do this with the spreadsheet sync, but there isn't a template for it. Can I create a template?
Currently, I am obtaining my clients computer to maintain her books and it's a hassle, espcially this time of the year. When I was using her QB on her laptop, a popup came up within QB and said something about QuickBooks Remote Access for 7.95 a month but I cannot find anymore information on this and I cannot figure out how to get it setup. This is a small business so spending $50 a month for remote access from another company is out of the question.

QuickBooks Payroll is treating the employer-paid employee portion of MN Paid Leave as “Other Pay,” which increases taxable wages, FICA, and MN withholding. The item is system-locked and cannot be corrected. I have no idea how to go forward without it being a complete mess. I found a mistake on a W2 after I filed electronically through QuickBooks Desktop. How do I E-file a W2C and W3C? I imagined that it would be similar to filing original W2s but when I corrected to form there was not an option to E-file the corrected W2/W3c. I was only able to print it. With the new guideline this year (2024) I understand the if the original was filed electronically then the correction must also be. Thanks for the help.
I am struggling to get a supposedly connected bank feed working. The bank account appears in the chart of accounts with the "lightning bolt", and according to the bank, the account is correctly configured at the bank. But the account does not appear in the list of accounts on the Bank Feeds page in QB (Desktop 2019, up to date). When I try to then edit the account in Chart of Accounts, I go to Bank Feed Settings and see that Deactivate All Online Services is clicked. When I click activate, QB crashes. I tried the merging trick posted in a forum link, but that did not work - the existing account doesn't get the online settings from the new account that was set up and properly linked. I would greatly appreciate some guidance in how to proceed. The existing account has data for over 10 years from the bank - for obvious reasons I do not want to lose that.Thanks.Jack

NORTH CAROLINA W2/W3 does not match federal W2 in QB desktop enterprise. Does anyone know how to change box 14 on state W2? The issue is box 14 which includes Scorp Health Premium payments. Box 1 also shows a different amount than the Federal W2, which has been processed and efiled already.

I have been using QuickBooks Pro Desktop since 2012, and currently I’m using QuickBooks 2024 Pro Desktop for the past 8-12 months with no issues in my setup, until this week. I have always used the program in a Parallels virtual machine environment on Macs, and lately on 3 Macs, all running Windows 11. All of these Macs are laptops, and two of them are Apple Silicon Macs, M1 and M4, and the 3rd one is an Intel Mac from 2019. I had been keeping my company file on Dropbox, being very careful not to open it simultaneously on more than one of the Macs. This system had been working flawlessly for all of these years. I do not have multi-use sharing enabled. I haven’t needed it since I only access the company file from one Mac at a time, mostly now from the M4.Last week, the main Mac, the M4, would not open my company file. I have a recurring invoice template setup for a couple customers and also create manual invoices as needed. The recurring template customer number works fine as long as I do not create a manual invoice for a different number. For example, I have ABC-01 invoice set to be created the 1st of each month. Each month, the number increases by one. So, February is ABC-02. Then February 15, I create a manual invoice for customer XZY and call is XYZ-01. On March, instead of having ABC-03, that customer's invoice is created at XYZ-02. How do I stop this, and have it be ABC-03 without manually editing?

I ran my balance sheet on cash basis and I have a balance in my accounts receivable account. I ran a report and found several old accounts that have small balances (from 2000-2008). What is the best way to zero out these accounts? If I write them off to bad debt it will show up as bad debt for 2025 and it was actually from several years ago.
