We lost the very important use of TAGS. Now we are stuck with Custom Fields. How do we control the number of spaces in the custom field ???
Each month we process auto-payments (credit card, bank, debit, etc...) for various customers. Recently one of the payments was cancelled by our customer but a system-generated payment and deposit had already been recorded. I need to delete the invoice and payment, but I can't until I edit the deposit. How do I do this? The deposit record only shows the total deposit amount with a memo "System-recorded deposit for QuickBooks Payments." I tried to edit it from the chart of accounts, but I was just taken back to the deposit record. Please note, our bank account is not linked in QBO.
Hi all, I'm in the process of cleaning up a new client's books. They use a business Venmo to receive about half of their income. When they conduct a Venmo Cashout, QBO records the net amount (minus venmo fees) as a debit to their Business Checking account. But ALSO records it as a transfer to the bank account for some reason (thus double recording income). The Venmo Cashout reconciles to the bank statement, the extra transfer does not. Does anyone have any insight as to why it has done this? Or how to reverse these transactions/prevent it from continuing to happen? **Client does not invoice through QBO to receive Venmo payments, so it is not being recorded via QBO that way.

summary report select all option not working in quickbooks advanced. option was removed from plus subscription?
ie. 1st line of the expense is fuel purchased by co driver. 2nd line is fuel purchased by contractor 1; 3rd line contractor 2, 4th line co driver, 5 line contractor 1 and then there are fuel discounts for each of the purchases. My company pays for the full fuel bill and then charges the contractors their purchases of fuel. How is this best handled in QB online?
There's no link or bottom anywhere that I can find to add a new variant. Also tried multiple times through the bulk import without any luck.
I run QB Desktop Enterprise 2023. In the last 2 or 3 weeks I have run into a problem with multi-user mode. My workstation and the server runs on Windows 11. My AP's workstation is Windows 10. Whenever AP gets on QB it automatically puts her in single user mode. If she tries to change to multi-user mode she gets error H202. I have no problem switching from single user mode to multi-user mode on my workstation or the server. Hello all, I am looking to upgrade my current magstrip card reader with one that will accept EMV, tap, Apple Pay, etc. I only do at-business transactions - I don't need to accept mobile payments. I use QBO w/ Quickbooks Payments. Here's how I currently do it: I have a very basic magstrip reader that is connected to the desktop. When a customer is paying via CC: 1. I open their invoice and select "Receive payment"2. Then use the drop-down to select "Credit Card"3. Then select "Enter credit card details"4. Then select "Swipe card"5. I swipe the card on my magstrip, QBO recognizes it, I process the transaction, then it automatically applies the payment towards the selected invoice. This has been a super easy way to do it for me for the past ~10 years. But now I want to offer more options for my customers. The Description Field appears to be useless since it's alway some form of incorrect interpretation of the actual data imported from the bank – which appears correctly in the memo field of course. Can we just get rid of the description field all together since it serves no purpose? Or can we hide this field from view or replace the information with correct data?
When adding and subscribing for a new QBO client as a QBOA, can I use my QBOA credentials (Email and phone number) for the client organization so that I am a Primary Admin for my QBOA file as well as Primary Admin for the client QBO file. I want to be able to be Primary Admin for my QBOA file as well as any number of new QBO organization I subscribe for under my QBOA account.In my services and SLA with prospective clients I want to make it clear that I would own the client set of QBO Books while I am offering my services to them. This is so that data integrity is ensured of my work and my deliverables to the client are not impacted. This would otherwise be compromised if the Primary Admin of the client organization in QBO is them as they could alter my work performed for them.In future if we want to part ways, I would share their data with them but retain their QBO file and let it die it's natural death unless at that point the client wants to take over their QBO file in which case I w
payroll did not go out for May so I need to send payroll now
c:\programdata\intuit has a bunch of old "QuickBooks YYYY" and "QuickBooks YYYY.old" folders using a lot of space (move then 20 GB for all and 18.2GB for the ones I hope can be deleted). I am currently using QuickBooks Desktop Pro Plus 2024. Which ones can I delete? They are killing my C:\ drive free space. Thanks.
I set up Intuit to file and pay my payroll taxes. I deposit came through on my checking account. I'm assuming this is a from an employee's paycheck for money withheld for taxes. How do I enter it and whom do I say it's from?
I do recurrinf monthly billing and the option to automatically include unbilled charges is selected. Any time an charge is added for a given account, that invoice will not be automatically sent until the charges are manually added to an invoice. This glitch is cost me time and money. Gotta love it!
