The company previous staff did not do the job well and hence the inventory counts on QBO is inaccurate for years. We would really want to update and fix the issues and we have the physical counts. But how should we start without affecting the performance of the company? Will this bring a big loss to the company if we write off a large amount of inventory from our book? How should we start?

My quarterly sales amount is QB is incorrect.I do not use QB to invoice as I use Shopify and my customers pay in person. In this case what I owe is LESS per my state than what QB says is correct.How can I amend this? Journal entry?I only use QB as a method to track my sales, expenses, etc. so this is really a bookkeeping issue. My customers are charged correctly but QB is not calculating it correctly. WE found a few reasons today and hopefully can correct going forward but I just need to amend my book for the tax I did pay. The agent was unable to help me.

I've purchased a GIC as a asset to secure a letter of credit for a series of projects. I could record it as a new asset, but I see no place to reflect cash equivalents and since it is liquid but not as liquid as cash. How should it appear in my chart of accounts?
In my "Account Summary", my "Balance Forward" isn't showing that the previous invoice has been paid. Can someone help me fix this issue. I've done the "edit template" already and checked if date on previous invoice is correct. Nothing I do won't show or help.
Why does QB Desktop use the payroll check date rather than the range on the Payroll Summary? Secondly, my net pay in Quickbooks is not the same as the net pay when I pay with Telepay. I understand that there are a few fees with Telepay but not this much. Also if I use the payday, I get the # of employees paid correct, but if I use the pay period, the # of employees is wrong, any guess why? No additional employees have been added. Where is this field drawing from?
