Hello QB community, We have an employee who moved from a province to another one, QB suggested to create a new profile for the new province, but is there a way to keep the employee original profile and issue 2 different T4s? Thanks a lot for your help!

Hi, I am trying to figure out what is needed to create a Purchase through the UI. According to the API docs a Purchase is different than a Purchase Order. When I am searching the web and your website the only results that I see is on how to create a Purchase Order (which requires an upgraded plan). I have the basic plan so I am trying to understand if by upgrading I will get the option to create a Purchase apart from a Purchase Order.

Why am I getting this error?  I need to process payroll.

I am now unable to track my mileage and this is essential for my business. Please don't ask me to reinstall or reset my app data as I've tried this already to no avail.

Hello,I often have a table at events and markets to sell my bags of coffee.  When people pay by card, the transaction goes through on Shopify POS which is my website provider and is linked to QBO.  Some people pay by cash.  At the end of the day, what is the best practice to record the cash sales?  Should I record the transaction in Shopify or QBO?  How? Can I create a bulk transaction, i.e. 10 items for $100, or does each cash sale need to be recorded individually?Thanks, Oliver

I enter mileage using a browser on desktop and it shows up in the iOS app 1 day behind. For example, I enter mileage for Monday April 17, 2023 using the browser online and it shows up in the iOS app as Sunday April 16, 2023. My desktop and iOS device have the same Date & Time settings.

Hi, I am trying to connect my BMO credit card to my QBO. On the page to enter login and password, it is asking for Customer ID, User ID and password. What is the Customer ID?I called BMO and they advised that the Customer ID is the QBO Customer ID, but that does not work.Can someone advise where I can find the Customer ID?Thank you!

Isn't this a basic requirement in a business?  You should be able to select a period of time, with sales by product and then apply a % growth over a future period of time to estimate product requirements to grow your business effectively.

Finally finished the arduous task of switching my company from QBO to QBD Premier 2020. The only thing that didn't suck on QBO was the Advance Bank Feeds, where as the Quickbook Desktop Version, the only thing that did suck is the lack of Advance Bank Feeds. Advance bank feeds are available in the 2021 edition of the American Desktop Edition, but is not yet available in the Canadian Edition.  Any word or rumors on when the Canadian version of Quickbooks desktop will get Advance Bank Feeds?I can't see why anybody would upgrade to the 2021 Canadian Version of QB's with this scrawny list of new features, unless Advance bank feeds are added.

Hi I am trying to figure out why the Report of line 101 on my GST summary does not match the Net income on my profit and lost report so I drill down report numbers to see where all the numbers are from. I discover that the Income Sale from profit and lost report is missing an entry from a particular invoice. Why is that? Please see my screen shot which include the excel download filter by INV # 134  and compare and it to the invoice #134 detail, it is  missing an entry as i highlight on my invoice. How is that possible?Thank you

How will CRA Strike effect my Turbo Tax filing

Hi all, I could use some support.  My laptop hardrive crashed, and the backup file on my NAS seems to be corrupt, so, it appears I have lost everything..sigh  (even after sending the drive to a recovery firm) I have last years PL and Balance Sheet printouts from my fiscal year end, so, I was thinking of rebuilding my chart of accounts using last years fiscal numbers as a starting point.   It appears I can't import via excel invoices, and cheque register / credit card expenses (only lists), but really didn't want to enter everything through the interface manually again for this year, unless I absolutely have to. So, without a discussion on QB Desktop vs on-line, and backup strategies, does anyone have any suggestions on how to best 'rebuild' my QB file?   Perhaps what has worked for others, or the best approach ?Thanks in advance

We accept credit card payments through QuickBooks. Those payments go into a specific bank account but I see that the credit card processing fees also run through that account. Is there any way that we can have the account that the fees are taken from changed while leaving the payments going through the existing account?
