Since mid/late June I have not been able to get into the QuickBooks Online Desktop App. I believe there was an update that rolled out around that time and haven't been able to get in since then. When I open the app on my desktop (PC, version 3.6.2) I get a screen that looks like it's loading. A green bar loads, then nothing happens. No additional boxes open, I'm never prompted to login, nothing. I've read through multiple forums for trouble shooting tips, uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times, my IT person and tried every trouble shooting idea he can find online and today I reached out to Intuit via a Chat through my QB online in the browser and was told too bad, we don't support the app, we have no advice for you.
change withholding tax information
I changed the percentage for different sales so the dollar amount always changes. I did not see where I can minus money on my invoice for the discount
We started a new business and immediately began using Quickbooks to process our customers' payments. Over $20,000 was processed, and no payment has been deposited into my linked Wells Fargo bank account. I received emails from the Resolution Center saying they needed me to provide more documentation, which I did. I have provided Articles of Formation, Utility Bills, Banks Statements, customers' personal information, and more! I received green "check marks" in the Resolution center verifying that my information had been received and that I would hear back within two business days. It has been almost TWO WEEKS since this began.I have received NO information WHATSOEVER regarding the money that was taken from my customers and not given to me. I have followed up with my customers who say that the money has cleared and left their accounts. I have spent HOURS on the phone with the payments department, once I was even told that my documents had been approved and that my funds would
Already successfully refunded the customer using QB Payment Accounts. Trying to create a refund receipt. Have everything completed, except I select "credit card" under Payment Method, then I have to choose "refund from" and the registered credit card is not on the list. If I return to Payment Method and attempt to switch to the actual Card used, that's not found there either. It's in my Bank accounts. It's registered as a chart of accounts. Why it's not appearing I have no idea. Please advise. I attempted to add in under Refund from and it tells me an account is already using it. No kidding, where the heck is it? Why isn't it appearing.
Hello Forum, I am trying to get a program that sync's Square with QB and I have to have Administrator privileges in QuickBooks 2024 Desktop Pro Plus in order for the App to download. When I go to File...App Management...Manage Web Apps, it tells me I do not have permission to access and I need to request access from the primary admin. Also when I go to Company...Set Up Users and Passwords...Manage Login Settings, I get the same message. I have attached a picture for you. I can't sign into Intuit under my account...it has the previous accountant's email as the username and I do not know the password. I have contacted her but she seems confused as to how to go about cancelling her Admin privileges of this QB file and transferring to me. Can anyone help me get around this or give her instructions as to how to do this? Thanks! PattiB
I need to contact Quicken/Quickbooks and have them change the US Bank account they are charging for downloading bank transactions to MoneyDance. I have spend a couple hours on the phone and have been unable to find the right person to talk to about this. The charges are still going to a closed account.

How do we turn off the automatic changes in QB online? The platform continually changes, our purchase order layouts change without our permission. The forms we send are in a specific layout for a graphical read and when that's changed it has disrupted business flow. The UI changes without asking us to update are awful. Is there a way to turn off the UI changes and automatic updates to our forms? If not, can someone let me know as we look for an alternative to this.
this is for the green check reporting we do on a monthly basis
I'm trying to streamline our bill/expense approvals. Right now, we upload a PDF of the bill into QBO and it auto-creates the bill. It gets placed in the 'for review' bucket and you can just hover over a paper icon under the "Bill" column and it pops up the PDF. If it gets past for review and is pushed for owner approval, they cannot see the PDF at all and only get the QBO bill information. There are no attachments, no bill column to mouse over, nothing. I need to be able to pull up the original bill to approve it. What am I doing incorrectly?
I have the basic version of QBO and I don't see a balance sheet report or a P&L
When entering a customer credit card payment, I do not want to enter the credit card number or have to uncheck the box. How do I get rid of this feature?
It looks like Quickbooks online offers you the option to add a customer filter inside the AP Aging Detailed Report but not QB Desktop.I want to create an A/P aging report that shows me all the vendors/bills associated with that customer/job that are either outstanding or coming due. When I use the AP Aging Detail report, there is no customer/job column available to select from when I try to customize the report. There is no customer/job filter option either. When I filter by name, it excludes the vendors/suppliers because the report excludes the vendors' names. I run into similar issues when I create a custom report. I want my accounting team to be able to pull this report if they don't know which vendor have outstanding bills associated with a job. We use QB Enterprise 2024 we for General Contracting w/ advanced reporting so if you have a quick tip on how to create it in there, that would be helpful too!
Close payroll and file last reports with IRS?
I sat on the phone with support yesterday because I was not able to enter projects (sub customer) jobs by project number for adding time to employee timesheets. (for projects added in the past 2 weeks-since the update) It was a simple matter to bring up the employee and then begin to enter time by entering project number. The project would display and I could easily select it. After close to an hour on the phone with support, I was told that QBO has removed that capability and now I can only enter time by typing in the project name. Isn't this a move backward? What does this help or improve? Why would QBO/Intuit want to move back in technology? It makes no sense to make things more time consuming rather than streamline and make things more productive.
We’re trying to use the Sales tax categories feature so Automated Sales Tax can correctly calculate tax on our snack and beverage items. Unfortunately it is not saving any category selections. What happens • Navigate: Taxes > Sales tax > Sales tax categories (beta). • Choose a category, e.g. Food & beverages → Food products not for home consumption → Unprepared and in vending machines costing $1.50 or less. • Click Confirm. • QBO returns the toast: “1 weren’t categorized. Try again.” Nothing saves. What we have tried • Multiple items and categories. • Chrome and Safari, normal and private windows. • Cleared cache, signed out and back in. • Automated sales tax is enabled. Screenshots are attached showing the page, the category we select, and the error. Company: DealerSnack Solutions LLC Use case: unattended retail in Ohio selling snacks, drinks, and bottled water. Could you please: 1. Enable or fix Sales tax categories for our file or advise if this is a known issue with the b
At my firm we often receive bills in foreign currencies from vendors. When we go to pay the bills in QuickBooks the exchange rate has frequently changed from what it was when we received the bill. So we pay the bill and now it either looks like we haven't paid the bill in full or it looks like we've overpaid. This is further complicated by the fact that we include 'billable' bills on the invoice to our clients. Our process looks like this: We receive the bill and then invoice our clients first for the amount of the bill and then after the client pays us we pay the vendor. In that time the exchange rate has changed several times and the amount we are paying is no longer the same as the amount of the bill on the invoice. I'm considering changing the amount of the bill to reflect the rate on the date we pay it???If you can make sense of this somewhat jumbled question I'd really appreciate any advice on resolving this issue.
