Hello. I’m new at this agency. I need to clear out all the old bills (already paid) showing on the AP Aging Report.Bills were entered through AP module, Db expense accounts. Some payments were made via ACH, debit, or credit card on the vendor websites not through QBDT. And the payments were entered as journal entries, Db AP and Cr either credit or debit account. To zero out a bill paid via credit/debit account and payment was entered as a journal entry like I’ve mentioned above, I clicked on Set Credits, and applied the credit to the bill. On the bottom of the Pay Bills screen, under Method, in the box, there are Scheduled Online Payment, Check, and Credit Card. Since we don’t have any *credit or debit account* set up in QB, I couldn't choose Credit Card so I had to choose Check instead and clicked Pay Selected Bills. The bill is taken off from the AP Aging report and in G/L it’s showing Bill Pmt-Check in the Type column. I’m not sure if I did it correctly an
Accrued hours based on Every Hour, will accrue on all hours. This includes when you use Vacation or Sick Time items, which should not be included. It should only be on hours worked. If you have payroll items for Holiday, Bereavement, Jury Duty, Sick or Vacation time, it will a calculate on all those payroll items and inflate the Sick Time that is accruing on the employee. Has QB made any changes to this? Can you set up Holiday, bereavement, vacation, etc. with a different TYPE to not include in HOURS WORKED?

I had social security and medicare deducted from an employee's checks that was not to be. She is a Pastor. Is there a way to correct the checks in Quickbooks? All checks were processed.
I am wondering if a single employee can have two vacation policies at the same time? Can our workers have the both the current vacation policy that we have now (which is accrued on each hour work); and a 2nd policy that i could use randomly to reward employees for a good safety behavior. (SV) i would want:1) both policies with balances to appear on thier workforce app2) employees to be able to request one or both policies as off itme.3) both policies to appear as options on the TIME Tsheet and Time reports.4) the payroll admin to have the abilty to award these SV whenever they choose. And for the employee to take the SV hours whenever the employees chooses? What is the best way to handle this. Would PTO be better than a 2nd vacation policy.Would i set this up in Time of Payroll or both?thanksLDOTime and online payroll user....we dont use desktop or any QB accounting products.

Why does QBs online want a copy of my social security card and driver's license. QBs online threatened to close our account if I don't provide this. I don't feel comfortable giving MY PERSONAL INFORMATION to QBs when I am not an employee of QBs. I sent it in but now I am waiting to be scammed. Someone in Nigeria will open accounts in my name with my personal information. I am not an owner of the company. It is a non-profit and doesn't have an owner, it is run by a board of directors that changes every two years. I volunteer for the company, doing their bookkeeping and payroll. We have had direct deposit and auto payroll for years but all of a sudden, I received an email requesting. I called QBs 14 times, and no one can explain why they need this. No one made me feel safe providing it but threatened to cut off our payroll if I didn't provide it. I was told it was for my safety????!!!! Sending my personal info is for MY safety. They s

Using Premier Contractors 2024 Desktop and Desktop Do it Yourself Payroll We have had a payroll subscription for 20+ years. We opened a new entity last year (different name and FEIN) and have a QB company file for the new entity. Same Intuit account and email for both companies. We want to start processing payroll in the new entity/company file starting 2nd Qtr 2026 (April 3,2026). I believe I can transfer the subscription by turning payroll off in the old company (edit-preferences-payroll-no payroll) and turn on payroll in the new company (edit-preferences-payroll-full payroll). Can someone verify that this is correct? Also, since we are changing companies during the fiscal year, I will need to process the payroll forms for the 1st Qtr 2026 in the old company, and process/print W2s in January 2027. Will I be able to do go back and do that once I turn payroll off? Note: I cannot enter all the employee's 1st Qtr YTD w

If a customer pays with a check immediately after service but I won't deposit check until the end of the month. Do I create an invoice or sales receipt?
Has anyone else noticed that the P&L by Customer report no longer groups and subtotals by parent customer? The report runs with customers as columns across the top. Previously, parent customers and their jobs/sub-customers were grouped together — the parent customer column came first, followed by its job columns, then a "Total for [Customer]" subtotal column before moving on to the next customer. If a transaction was accidentally posted to the parent instead of the correct job, it was easy to spot because they were right next to each other. Now everything appears to be in one flat alphabetical list across the columns — parent customers and jobs all mixed in together with no grouping and no subtotal columns per parent. For anyone doing job costing, this makes it really hard to catch miscoded transactions and is really messing up my data integrity. I can't find any setting or customization to restore the old grouping behavior. Is anyone else experiencing this and has a
I am in urgent need to resolve a payments issue. Been processing with merchant services for many years with out issue. Last week I clicked instant deposit, which in turn put the two deposits on hold. I am able to process other payments without issue, but those two are still withheld. I've talked to so many people and just cannot get any resolve. Call wait times are over an hour. I was told they were under review and would take 24-48 hours. It's been six days. I changed nothing related to banking, just clicked instant deposit. How do I get this resolved when I cannot reach a manager or anyone who will fix this? It's $28K that our customer paid us and we cannot get the funds.
Hi everyone, I need help with QuickBooks Point of Sale v2013.Issue:When I open Inventory > Edit Item, some users can see the Item History section/tab for the item, where it shows the transaction history of that item, such as:• sales• receiving• adjustments• transfers• why qty became positive or negativeBut for other users, Item History is not visible at all. What I already enabled for the affected user:• Inventory: Edit item• Sales History: Access sales history• Receiving History: Access receiving history• Adjustment History: Access adjustment history• Transfer History: Access transfer history (Pro)Even after enabling those, Item History still does not appear for that user.My question:What is the exact combination of security access rights required to make Item History visible in Edit Item in QuickBooks POS v2013?Would appreciate help from anyone who has actually configured this before. Thanks!
I can't believe this isn't a more popular issue. I can't find much support about it anywhere. Online support just tells me to turn on things that don't exist (like displaying Tasks on the Dashboard -- it's not an option). PROBLEM: in QBD there was a REMINDERS pop-up every day that would tell me the invoices overdue, recurring transactions due, and other info, including upcoming items. There is no such thing in QBO that I can find. I can't be the only one who misses not being able to see, all in one place, the things that need attention? I understand there are TASKS now... but they really aren't that helpful or inclusive. My recurring transactions setup as reminders don't do anything... I never get reminded anywhere. I've read online articles (from Intuit!) about how they will show up in Tasks when their time comes... but they don't. Ever. Where can I go to see what recurring transactions are due? How do I get reminded about them?
I'm in QBO, under customer information, payment and billing trying to enter the credit card information.
What’s Changing: Starting July 1, 2026, for all customers, QuickBooks Workforce will automatically pay and file all taxes that have been set up. As part of this update, manually submitting tax payments or filings for those taxes in the Workforce Tax Center will no longer be an option, and the ability to turn off Automated Taxes will no longer be available. This change is designed to simplify payroll tax management by allowing QuickBooks to handle payments and filings on your behalf—helping reduce manual effort, support compliance, and provide greater confidence that taxes are handled accurately and on time. Who is affected and When?Customers who have signed up for QuickBooks Workforce l before November 15, 2025 will experience this change from July 1, 2026. These customers received an email in early April 2026 and a notification was posted in QuickBooks Workforce. Watch a short video to learn more.
