I am doing a workshop and have 2 people helping me. I will be receiving the payment for the service, but will need to split it 3 ways, how do i do this on quickbook self employed, and categorise the split part of the transactions properly? My business will only receive part of the payment.
my primary vehicle is set, i've completed all the details for it and all my mileage is assigned to that vehicle but new vehicles keep appearing.
I have ended up with VAT exceptions on Sales/Purchases( boxes 6 and 7 ) when planning to submit VAT for 1/4/2025-30/06/2025. I have reconciled my bank statements and there are no duplicates. Quickbooks online chat informed me these exceptions were created on 01/05/2025 but I do not know how I have done this. I calculate my VAT submission entries manually from my own excel entries rather than QB. The QB VAT Exception Report for 22/07/2025 has so many errors! They show entries from 2020 to 2025! For example Box 7 net value of purchases -some entries( £183.04 11/2/2025, 18/03/2025 etc ) are staff salaries which don’t claim VAT. There are numerous other examples such as post office, Fraser Web Design which also have no VAT element. These exceptions have been present for previous VAT submissions and QB online experts have shown me, by screen sharing, to reduce them to zero by adjustments resulting in journal entries eg -£34830.93 on 01/01/2025. Also Box 4 VAT adjustment -£5088.04 on 31/03/2
why do journal entries not total when inputting
Using Quickbooks app on iPhone
I tried to edit my Invoice template but even there I can't see the option where to add Payment Options. I tried to follow an older response on here, but I don't see those options in the settings... Help! I am also getting a lot of errors with other things, too, it used to be easier last year - has something changed?
Shopwired and quickbooks are linked, so when an order is placed on shopwired it raises and invoice and pays this off on quickbooks. A couple times a week shopwired will then issue a payout to our bank for multiple orders. I currently raise a bank deposit for these and match them to the transactions in the bank but my accountant has just advised me this is causing duplicate sale transaction as the invoice is raised and paid off automatically to the current account but we then have a bank deposit which will be for multiple orders that paid into the current account. Is it that when the invoice is raised and paid off this shouldnt be posted to the current account?.
Hi, I am currently paying our suppliers manually through the bank. I want to be able to run a bulk payment file from quickbooks i.e. select the suppliers I want to pay and send this file to the bank for processing. Rather than having to manually pay each supplier one by one in the bank. We could have 200 suppliers to pay so this is really time consuming. Has anyone come up with a way around doing this as Quickbooks UK does not do this, seemingly only Quickbooks US. I cannot understand why the UK version cannot do this as it is a fairly normal feature in accounts packages.
I have a custom report called "Current YTD Creditors Report". I can change the run date to end of last financial year. But I cannot see how to change the report title to "Year End Creditors Report"; and I also cannot see how to save it so that it keeps the last year end date. (It keeps reverting to use today's date). Anyone know how to make these changes please ?
I have Quickbooks self employed btw
I have entered payment details and a logo but they don't show up on my invoice. I have had two long customer service conversations about this and they just tell me it's being looked into and is a known fault. Surely this is the most basic thing an accounting package should be able to do? Has anyone else had this issue?
Does Quick Books have MTD for Income Tax working so that I can start submitting quarterly returns. I have already enrolled in the pilot scheme.
