Hello, I hope you are doing well. We have recently started using Quickbooks Desktop Platinum and had a few questions on how API integrations are linked to QB. I am trying to link Overstock with my QB through APIs. Do I need to use a third-party connection in order to setup this linkage or can it be done directly? Regards, Hamza

Can a deleted QBs file be restored? My C: drive was full so I copied a large folder with all my data (I thought) to my 😧 drive and then deleted the folder on my C: drive, but now QBs can't find one of my companies' files. I've always heard that deleted files are not completely gone, just overwritten to not use disk space. If that is the case, can it be restored? I've tried using Recuva but it doesn't find the file either. Any thought or help would be greatly appreciated.

Just wanted to share in case anyone else is having this issue - I was working my way through the training, completed a module, but when I tried to continue the learning process, it took me back to the end of the last module.  Despite the module showing 100% completed, hitting the conclusion screen with the "click here to receive credit for this module", it would not advance to the next module.  I tried multiple things - different browsers, different computers, switching between trainings, redoing the module multiple times, using a Google Chrome incognito window, etc - nothing worked.  Still stuck.  I eventually opened up a chat with QB support.  Despite best efforts with tech support - the issue is still not resolved.  After almost two hours of trying things - including retaking the module twice, I was left with this: "Your account has been affected by the ongoing investigation, we have attached your account to the list of affected users and the issue

I have already changed the email address on the vendor file to the correct address; however, when I click the send remittance button now it still sends to the incorrect email address. I am working in Quickbooks Online.

We use QuickBooks desktop Premiere, the most current edition. There are several posts regarding compliance of the Minnesota ESST rules however I see that there is no answer by QuickBooks. It appears that once an employee reaches their max of 48 hours, and then uses some hours, it continues to give them more hours to reach the 48 hours again. It also is giving the employee sick hours even if they are using vacation or holiday time.  The Minnesota rule states that it is only based upon our hours worked.  So has the QuickBooks compliance team come up with any answers yet? It does not make sense to give them separate paychecks for holiday or vacation time as one post suggested. It would also be helpful if we were able to turn off sick time and vacation time separately instead of one checkbox to turn off both. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated if this is actually been solved.

Hello, I have an employee who had an employer sponsored health insurance which was retroactively cancelled by them. This resulted in an over payment to the insurance agency in 2019 which has now finally refunded the over payment in 2020. Can someone help me with this? I need to to handle a refund for the pre-tax employee deduction for medical for 2019.  I also now need to reconcile both the company contribution and the employee deduction that were in excess.  I assume the refunds and reconciliation goes into the 2020 books. Thanks in advance for your help.

There's even a little info box that reads "We've checked, and your bank transaction are ready to reconcile." But the "Start reconciling" button does nothing except highlight the "Statement ending balance" in red.

Good morning,I am using a QB Desktop for Mac 2019 on a very outdated computer, and I would like to transfer this to a newer laptop that is compatible. I have been able to install the QB program on the new computer, but I need to migrate my registration and account information.I tried to follow the directions available on here to use a "Migration Tool", but this does not appear in the Utilities section of my existing QB software. I would happily uninstall the software from the old computer, as I truly want to migrate the software, account, and data so I can deactivate the old computer.Please advise the best way to do this.Thank you!

My account has been connected just fine for years but my card was recently compromised and I got a new one and now Citi won't connect. I disconnected it and tried to reconnect it, but when I do I get this message here: https://s.grcwk.co/Bluebgzv. It says my records don't match...but I can login to my online account just fine. Citi tech support is of little use unfortunately.

We are testing an API integration and we don't want to use our main live production file. We were told we could create a copy of the file to another company data file, but the 2 company files are not on the same QBO account.

Receive error message "you can not import quickbook desktop data only within 90 days of QB online purchase. Attempt to use export, but receiving same message. How do we get around this??

Hello - I have a need to share certain memorized reports with my production team without sharing the entire reports portal.  I don't see how to set up the user access in this way.  Is there a work around?  We need them to see some reports without accessing P&L's and other financial data.  Thanks in advance.

Hello - I have a need for production workers to access certain custom reports only.  I'm not seeing how to give them access to specific reports only without giving them access to run reports across the board.  Is this possible?
