With the May 2027 end-of-support date for QuickBooks Desktop getting closer, I've been talking to a lot of accounting firms about how they're planning migrations for their client portfolios.The actual migration tools seem fine — it's the export cleanup that everyone's struggling with. QBD exports come out with account numbers embedded in the account name strings, sub-accounts nested with colons, and debit/credit signs that don't match what Xero or Sage expects. I've heard firms say they spend 15-20 hours per client just cleaning up the export in Excel before they can even attempt an import.For a firm with 50-100 clients on Desktop, that's potentially thousands of hours of manual work before the deadline.Has anyone found a decent workflow for this? The free conversion tools seem to have pretty high error rates from what I've heard.I'm working on a tool to automate the cleanup — handling the embedded account numbers, colon-nested hierarchies, sign convention mismatches, and trial balance
My client paid me 3 months ago and I still have not received my funds. Over the last 5 weeks, I have called at least 20 times, have had at least 7 cases open, and have been promised multiple times that the money was going to be transferred. It still has not. I have been told it will be transferred by 3-5 business days multiple times across these 5 weeks. I have been hung up on, and I have been told an email with details will be sent and they never have. I have been told that my issue will be escalated to Tier 2 and Tier 3, but that never happened. They are lying to me and withholding my livelihood. Quickbooks is stealing from me. If this does not get resolve, I will find counsel and I will sue. If you are searching for an invoicing service, do not get Quickbooks. Do not do it.

I have two companies (A & B) every week I use the weekly timesheets tab located under Create > Team > Weekly timesheet, both companies have had the ability to choose pay type from the weekly timesheet screen to choose overtime or another pay type if fit, as of two weeks ago company B (under a different QBO account entirely) no longer has the option to select pay type. I am not sure what is going on and what changed but this is causing an issue when it comes to project tracking for any overtime expenses. Company A on the other hand still has all the options, I tried comparing the settings between the two companies and did not see anything that would cause this issue.
I want to know the steps to enter Couter Credit having multiple accounts with an already downloaded webconnect file in QBD.
I have used Quickbooks Online Payroll for 10 years to file payroll taxes. This year, a 940 was not generated. I was able to pay the tax associated with it, but the form is no there to be filed. Additionally, my W-2 does not show up either. Please advise. I have emptied cookies/cache. The emails that I receive from quickbooks with reminders of forms to be filed do not mention my 940 or W2. This is unsettling. Please advise.
I have this issue every year. I fill out the information in QBSE, click Send to TurboTax, then get taken to the TurboTax Premium product. It wants to charge me $129 for federal return plus additional for state, but both should be included with my QBSE bundle. I cannot figure out any way to switch to TurboTax Self-Employed.

Each payroll I enter multiple salary and tax accounts in a split ACH bank transaction. I have set up a recurring expense template for it. When the payroll comes through the bank transactions, how do I get to the template and have it match with the bank transaction?
Has anyone experienced their invoices suddenly being posted as payments in their check register? It’s also correctly posting to revenue and accounts receivable but somehow it’s also posting as a payment in my check register. Intuit seems to not be able to figure this out.

I have been trying to run payroll today in QBO. I have approved the timesheets in classic time, then gone to QBO time approvals to run the payroll. Once I click on Rune Payroll the overtime disappears. Is something going on with QBO payroll today?
Hi,There was an update to QBO the week of 9/11/23. After this update, the ability to "Swipe Card" when taking payment on a sales receipt disappeared and we are forced to key in the customers security code, name , address etc. We are charged 3.5% fees for this. What happened to the swipe feature? It is still there when receiving payments for invoices.
Support confirmed that the QuickBooks app will not work on iOS 18.7 on the iPhone 13 Pro. Can you provide a full list of which iOS versions are incompatible with which iPhone models?This information should be readily available to users so they can avoid updating to a version that breaks compatibility — or worse, purchasing a phone that won’t work with QuickBooks at all. I was also told that iOS 26 will not work, and that QuickBooks will not function on the iPhone 17.If there are known incompatibilities, they should be published and easy to find. I transfered my QuickBook online to QuickBook desktip Pro 2024. Everything seemed to transfer fine last month. This month, I am no longer able see my Vendor and Customers List. I have run Tool Hub and File Doctor multiple times, but I'm still getting Error 381 and Error 213 that the Tool Hub says it can't fix. Does anyone have any suggestions?!?
