I recently attempted to close month end but received an error message saying I was not able to close the month due to items in our inventory that had negative on hand values. This was not an issue for us in Desktop but is an issue in IES. Because of the nature of our business, we do have regular and consistent transactions where the sale is recorded a few days before the item is received into inventory ( we do a good deal of third party drop ships). appreciate the warning that there are negative hand inventory amounts to but to prevent the month from being closed does not work for us. I could have 10 items that show a negative on hand inventory value of just $.10 and I still could not close the month ( Materiality ???). The suggestion from the Feedback desk was to do an inventory quantity adjustment at the end of every month and then reverse it the first day of the next month. This is not very efficient. Has anyone else experienced this and does a
Does anyone else have a problem sorting Recurring payments by Customer in QuickBooks Online? The Customer heading has an icon for sorting but it doesn't sort by customer name. QuickBooks expert said it was a system limitation; but why have the sort icon if it can't sort by Customer
Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra. Allowed Camera, Location (allowed all the time), Notifications, Photos and videos, Physical Activity. Some days it will catch all trips without issue. With no changes made and the phone showing that Mileage is being recorded, that mileage fails to appear unreviewed and just seems to disappear. It missed a 400 mile trip this week. Frustrating in that one reason I picked QB was not needing to pay for an additional app such as Everlance that I used to use.
With Quickbooks online now requiring automatic payroll taxes, how will state unemployment permits be supported? Iowa Workforce Development (IA Unemployment) requires wages to be paid prior to a permit being established. If QBO is requiring fully automated payroll taxes to be set up prior to payroll being processed, this creates a major impasse for all new payroll clients. Further, if there is a workaround being established, QBO tends to take an average of 4-6 weeks before accepting the roles assigned from Iowa via the POA, even if the roles are manually updated to QBO and verification is provided from both Iowa and Iowa Workforce Development's website. It is not feasible to notify a client that we can onboard them for payroll services, but will not be able to start services for over a month due to QBO's processing times.
Trying to enter my sales tax in QB. Clicked Manage Sales Tax, Pay Sales Tax, entered my discount and proper acct for it. Click the appropriate tax I'm paying, then the line that I will enter the discounted amt. Then this window pops up but I'm not trying to do a negative amt. The total will be a positive amt. I've updated payroll and closed and reopened. Is there a glitch somewhere? This is the way I've done it for the last 15 yrs.
Am I the only person who has an issue with the fact that Quickbooks has removed all of the previous years Payroll Tax Forms? If you needed to print out an employee's previous year's W-2 or if you needed access to your quarterly 941s, you could find them under Payroll Taxes. Now if you need any of the above etc,. you have to call Quickbooks and have them contact "The Back Office" to try to figure out how to get these forms to you, because Quickbooks made the changes but did not advise nor did they train their staff on how to retrieve the forms on their end. This is just stupid and a complete waste of my time.

I desperately need help with emailing invoices from Quickbooks. I have been doing it with no problem for years, and suddenly last week when I tried to email a customer their invoice, after I was prompted to input my password, a notification popped up saying "Quickbooks is unable to send your emails." I have tried troubleshooting with no success. I ensured that my password was correct, I updated quickbooks, I checked in send forms to make sure my email settings were correct, and i uninstalled/reinstalled quickbooks. Please help! If I can't email invoices I can't bill the majority of my customers.
What happens to a payment if my bank account is no longer active, and the payment was already deposited?
I am not able to change the value to $4!
My books are a mess. When I received direct deposit payments for invoices I also categorized them. i think this doubled the income. I know now to match the payments.
I own QB Pro 2020 desktop. I have an Intuit PW and log in. On occasion I am asked to log into QB. The screen comes up, but the right side, where I would enter my credentials, just spins. I can cancel out and continue working, but I am concerned that one day it will not let me continue. Any ideas? Thanks, Nancy
I have not been able to email out invoices, print invoices, save invoices to PDF, export anything, attach anything to QuickBooks, or even print checks.I've spent several hours with tech support, which they went through all the steps. One tech support rep told me that QuickBooks was seeing some issues with compatibility with Microsoft, but there wasn't a solution yet.I'm not able to run my business like this. I can't print out checks, I can't email invoices to clients. I can't even print a PAPER invoice to a mail to clients. It's been over a week. Anyone else have this issue? There are no errors, it simply does nothing when I go to do any kind of functionality that would use any Office product or PDF. Hours spent with tech support through a screen share can confirm this.Tech support had me uninstall and reinstall everything, including Microsoft Office (that was a several hour ordeal in itself). At this point I'm pretty much dead in the water.
Loging into https://qbo.intuit.com/ ,https://accounts.intuit.com/, and even through https://quickbooks.com fails, although I can login to this community and account management with no problem. I'm able to enter my username and password, receive a text with validation code, enter the code, then the browser window shows a blank page with:"Hmmm… can't reach this page""Check if there is a typo in app.qbo.intuit.com" and "DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN". I haven't been able to login to my online payroll account in a month as I first though their website was down. It's worked for me for years, then suddenly last month after Intuit updated their website, I can no longer login. I've worked with support 4 times on the phone and even chat with no joy. I've cleared cache, etc..., installed a new browser (Chrome), installed all Windows updates, rebooted, connected to networks in 3 different states, same issue every time. Windows 10 with the latest Edg
Since the QBO update around 12 April, there has been a serious regression affecting quote-to-invoice workflows involving sub-customers and parent billing accounts. This is not a minor UI issue. It is actively preventing businesses from invoicing clients and getting paid.Workflow That Has Been BrokenCreate quote for sub-customer/site contact.Quote is accepted.Convert accepted quote to invoice.Change invoice customer to parent company for billing purposes.QBO displays warning that linked transactions will be removed. After confirmation:ALL invoice line items are deletedInvoice total resets to $0.00Linked quote detachesInvoice becomes unusableThis workflow worked correctly before the April update.Partial Fix ReleasedAround 3 days ago, Intuit appears to have partially patched the issue:the quote now remains linked ONLY if the customer is NOT changed. However the core issue still exists:Changing from sub-customer to parent customer destroys the invoice.Real Business ImpactThis bug is severely
I am looking for help setting up in QB Pro 2015 a new van that we purchased. We did a down payment (2 checks actually) and financed the rest. I am not a bookkeeper and get confused and the debit and credit answers. I went to set up a fixed asset account and the first part asked to categorize it as income or expense. Not sure which to choose. Then I need to set up an account for the loan amount. Should it be a loan account or a long term liability account? And do i include the amount financed or the total amount with the interest costs? Where do i account for the deposit on the van? One was for $1000 and one was for $9000. I posted them temporarily in the fixed asset area, but not sure if that is correct. (I can always change it) I have set up other loans but not sure that i have done it correctly. We dont do depreciation thru QB. Our accountant and tax preparer does that when we do our taxes. since
Hi, I am having issues with my workforce app
I want to add my spouse as an authorized user to my quickbooks.
I recently upgraded my QB from 2018 to 2019. I received a notice (i.e., a window opened within the software) about QB collecting my data for product purposes, and within the notice there was a supposed link to learn about how to opt out of that. When I clicked on the link, it brought me to a notice that said the page was non-existent.How do I Opt-Out?
How do I activate my quickbooks debit card
The dates of the pay period do not align with my company's pay period. How can I change this?
I just received an email from Intuit with this extremely ironic statement: Please be aware that YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE for the timely filing of employment tax returns and the timely payment of employment taxes for your employees, even if you have authorized a service provider to file the returns and make the payments. This is just one of the reasons I don't want Intuit managing my payroll taxes. There are many other reasons but it's ironic that Intuit is actually pointing this out! Think about this. What Intuit is saying is "you now must let us file and pay your payroll taxes but you are responsible for filing and paying your own payroll taxes."
I feel like I'm going in circles trying to get in touch with a real customer support person. My company has two instances of Quickbooks Desktop Enterprise. The individual that managed the licenses and payments is no longer with the company. I'm trying to log into their Quickbooks Online account to update the contact information and manage the billing information. While I do have access to their old email account, I don't have access to their phone for the 2FA. I tried calling the support number and while I did get through to a human I could not understand what they were saying as there was a baby crying in the background. They mentioned something about a transfer ownership form, but I would need provide my a copy of my Government ID?!?! I'm absolutely not providing that. Please, is there any way possible to talk to a real person either via phone or email? I have admin access to the Quickbooks company files and have the 2 license keys.
