QuickBooks Desktop: How do I setup and use a new payroll item for tracking the new Qualified Overtime Compensation for 2026 that came with the Working Families Tax Cut Act?
So I have a product that shows a unit cost of $2.49 but it should be $5.02. So let's say we have 600 items at $2.49 with an inventory value of $1,494.00. It should be 600 items at $5.02 for an inventory value of $3,012.00. I thought to correct this I would need to remove my inventory to 0, go in and change the unit cost to $5.02 and the adjust the quantity back to 600 but when I do the inventory value report still shows $2.49. I don't want to adjust the starting value just the current value. Is there another way to do this?
I inherited a QuickBooks Online where bank feeds were disconnected last year and immediately reconnected. Instead of reconnecting to the existing bank accounts, it appears that new bank accounts were created and historical transactions were imported going back to January 2024. As a result, there are now active bank accounts and inactive/deleted bank accounts representing the same real-world bank accounts for Jan 2024 to mid-year 2025. The deleted accounts still contain historical activity and balances. The active accounts also contain historical activity. The balances are not exact duplicates, which makes me think the transaction history may have been split between the old and new account structures rather than simply duplicated. QuickBooks later created several transactions labeled “Created by QB Online to adjust balance for deletion” and posted the offsets to Opening Balance Equity in order to zero the deleted accounts. I'm working with a new laptop with Windows 11 loaded. I am having trouble printing so I downloaded the "latest" Quickbooks Tool Hub via the link provided. When it runs, it notes "several files are missing". When I tried again, I noted the script was referring to "Windows 10". Is it possible that the most recent version of QB Tool Hub is not set to Windows 11, and therefore failing to fix my install problem?

QuickBooks online tells me in order to add a favorite/saved location for mileage tracking, I need to use the Google drop address...but there is no drop down address. I type my address into the box, and nothing pre populates, no drop down appears, nothing. How do I add a saved location??
We have hardware we are buying from a vendor and they are requesting a 50% deposit before they ship the items. However, normally our process is Create purchase order>order items>receive items and record received in Quickbooks>Enter Bill Against Received Items. We can only do that process once we have physically received the items. Since they want to hold the items until we pay a deposit, and we have already created a PO, how do we move forward on paying this in Quickbooks? If I were to enter the bill and select the PO and connect the two despite not being received, I still run into the issue of have to change the line item prices on the PO to match only 50% of the order. And we don't want to change the line item prices on the PO because that tracks for our inventory. What would be the Quickbooks protocol for this?

I need a report that will show sales transactions for the previous month, including item, service provided and service date (in addition to the invoice date). I want to check at months end that invoices were dated correctly (we back date our invoice to match when services occur). I found a previous post here that said the Sales by Customer Detail report could be customized to show the service date, but it is not an available option. Only invoice date, ship date, deliv date and due date show up as items that can be selected.Thanks!
Does anyone know when the new shipping manager will be operational and available for download? The old shipping manager no longer links to UPS. We are therefore waiting for the new shipping manager to become operational before we upgrade to V2024. But obviously that window is closing quickly as the May 31 force upgrade deadline approaches. Help please! We were on automatic taxes in QBO and with the new change on Nov1 didn't realize we would get taxes removed for the "next month". Given that, in October we didn't leave enough funds in the account to make the payment on 10/15 (for September payroll). So our automatic tax payment failed. Now QBO properly shows that attempt as Failed, but shows as the only option "Resubmit Payment". However, since we didn't have the funds, we made other arrangements with eftps and paid the 10/15 fed liability manually. Now in QBO, I just need to mark that as paid, but it doesn't seem to offer that option for failed payments. How can I tell QBO that the failed automatic payment was manually paid?Thanks.
I have no such option. I inserted an employee instead of a Contractor by accident. Can you provide steps how to delete the employee, so that I can enter the Contractor instead?
I am looking to be able to create the P&L Budget Performance Report in QBO and it does not exist. However, it does exist in QB Desktop. Any ideas as to why it is not an option in Online and how to get Quickbooks to make it available? Thanks in advance!
We are setting up QuickBooks Online for a yacht charter company incorporated in the British Virgin Islands. When editing the Company Address, BVI is not available as a country option. The only available options are United States and United States Outlying Islands. Since the Company Address appears on customer invoices, we would like to know which option is recommended for a BVI company and whether choosing one over the other has any impact on invoicing, tax settings, reporting, or other QuickBooks features. If anyone has experience with a BVI-based company in QuickBooks Online, your guidance would be greatly appreciated.
I have followed instructions on setting up a customer group and that is set up fine. However, when I go to set up a Role and go to Areas and Activities, then Centers and select Customer Center, there is no option to create a Custom Activity Access Level. Is this a feature that needs to be activated? Anyone know why it wouldn't be showing up?
MCredit Union account stopped syncing with quickbooks a while ago. I was able to still get the info by updating my login info. Now nothing works. I emptied my cache. I contacted my Bank and there are no issues on their side. What can I do other than constantly export the data myself?
