My customer has 2 locations with different tax rates. A migrated invoice from QB Desktop needs to be split in two, since QB Desktop supports multi tax (2 tax rates or more on one invoice), but QB online does not support multi tax and the taxes cannot be calculated correctly or at all since the multi tax is zero, and QB Desktop calculates each tax rate from a line on the invoice.
Is it possible to leave the Ship Date blank on a customer invoice?
Hello everyone, I am having trouble locating and deleting a customer credit that should not exist in QB. Basically, every time I create a new invoice for this customer, a pop up shows up saying that the customer has a credit and asking whether it should be applied. However, no credit memo exists for this customer. So, it appears that QB thinks the customer has a credit, even though there is no credit memo. The amount of the credits are very specific (i.e., $413.24 and $216.00), and I am able to locate the invoices and payments that have those amounts (i.e., the invoice was issued and the payments were received). They appear to be correctly recorded in QB as having been received and "paid," so I have no idea from where these duplicate payment credits are stored in QB. Furthermore, the bank account balance reconciles with QB, so I know there is no "double deposit" that would account for these credits. So, questions: (1)
Can I set a future date to send invoices?
I have seen in videos they have the "Edit Quickbooks records and sync back" I do not see this option.
I am trying to see who viewed the estimate. The log seems to note when I view it as well as when the client views it.. I want to know who has viewed it but it doesnt differentiate.
This question is in relation to assigning roles, specifically Projects. We are in the testing phase of QuickBooks Online Advanced with plans to covert from Desktop in a month or so. I as a Company Admin have access to everything including Projects. The issue I am having is assigning permissions to Projects for other employees. I have gone under Settings and Manage Users and see permission sections for Sales, Expenses, etc. but I do not see a section for Projects. I have two employees who need access to Projects to create Projects and Project Estimates but I am unsure where to grant them this access. It's probably right in front of me and I just can't see it. This is probably related but from the dashboard if I click on Create, I get columns with Customers, Vendors and Projects while these two employees just get Customers and Vendors. Any guidance in pointing me in the right direction would be appreciated,
The zoom option only works in 25% intervals. I would like to have it at 90%, is there a way to do this so that I can see my entire page while working on the customization?
I am working on a custom design for my credit memos in the layout designer and it has grouped some boxes and I can't ungroup them. I didn't even know grouping was a thing. It wasn't initially like this because one of the boxes was at the bottom of the page and I've moved it to the middle. It wouldn't be a big deal, but one of the grouped boxes is offset and it looks bad. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE MY TIME WITH A GENERIC MESSAGE ABOUT HOW YOU CAN DESIGN YOUR OWN TEMPLATES. I have an actual issue that I need a SOLUTION for. There isn't an option to ungroup or even delete these boxes. All I can do is add. It's very odd.
I am trying to apply a tax payment that is more on the bank statement than what is owed. I would like to reflect the credit in the payroll module and see the message "resolve" Where do I record that payment so it clears the liability and shows the overage?
This was in early June. After the incident, our client made a direct transfer to us for the outstanding amount and is waiting for their refund
My old MacBook died. The logic board I can't get the machine to power on to retrieve my QuickBooks files. My backup of the machine doesn't seem to have any of the QuickBooks files.I believe in the past, I have had it uploaded online, but I don't know how to go about locating that.Any assistance would be greatly appreciated A.J. Is it possible to allocate inventory items to a particular job for job costing purposes? We do not want those items to appear on a invoice but we want it to reflect our inventory levels. We invoice based on a quoted price and use materials in inventory to complete the work. I know this question was asked in 2021, but I wanted to see if QB has made any changes for construction like companies. Solved: Allocating Inventory to a Job
