I'm working for a company where 2 people are working on billing customers, but only I have access to the Quickbooks company file. I'm looking for a way to differentiate invoices that I enter from ones that I enter for the other employee. This way I can go back and search where a bill/invoice came from rather than having to dig through data to figure it out.I'd like to have this marker work with report production, i.e. being able to run reports for one source of bills or the other. What tools do I have at my disposal to make this happen, and which ones are most likely to be a beneficial way of going about this? Thanks!
I need to record charges to my business credit card. How do I do that?
I currently use a QuickBooks Online Accountant subscription for all of my clients except one, who is still on QuickBooks Desktop.I tried exporting the Accountant’s Copy from Desktop, but I’m running into issues importing/accessing it remotely through my current setup. For those of you who work with both QBO and Desktop clients, what has been the best workaround for remote access and support? I’m debating whether I should just purchase a Desktop license myself, but I’d rather avoid the extra cost for only one client if there’s a better solution out there.Any advice, recommendations, or lessons learned would be greatly appreciated!
Since this recent update, I have had multiple times where my QB just stops working. I have to shut down then start all over. Anyone else having this issue?
Earlier this month, we hosted a live, step-by-step walkthrough of migrating your company file from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online. Whether you missed the live session entirely, or you were there and want to revisit a specific segment, we've got you covered. The full product segment replay is split into two parts below, so you can watch at your own pace. Getting Your Books Ready for the MoveThe first half of the webinar focuses on everything you need to do before you move to QuickBooks Online. Leanna covers the critical checklist items that, if skipped, can cause headaches down the line, including condensing data, verifying lists, and understanding exactly what does and doesn't transfer. Completing the Migration & Validating Your Data Part 2 picks up the moment the migration wizard is launched. Follow along with Samyuktha as she walks through the multiple migration process options and what to do once your data has migrated. If you want
Online payment service declined
Previously the cash flow planner would show the invoice remaining balance as cash inflows on the invoice due date, now it is showing the full invoice amount even if a partial payment has been made, which is grossly overstating my expected cash flow.
These windows depicting people at a computer and suggesting I learn about this or that are constantly popping up while I am trying to work. The pop up window blocks my task bar and 2or 3 times out of 10 won't close- no matter how many times I click on "Maybe Later". This forces me to completely close the program to get rid of it, so I can work. This is beyond annoying. Then the same suggestions keep popping up with no way to say "No Thank You" or "Don't show me this again" I guess the marketing genius's at Intuit believe we don't know our own minds? I work freelance with over 20 company files, so I have to go through this with every company I open -multiple closing the program throughout the day. Please Intuit- Can you fix this?
at the end of the month my statement doesn't show the 200.00 check clearing which now has cleared before i am reconciling and it is showing a 200.00 difference.
employees time zone changed automatically
I can’t find the link to add expenses on my phone app anymore. I’ve tried deleting & reinstalling the app multiple times.
Greetings. We have used QB to pay our payroll taxes automatically for three quarters. Every quarter QB overpays the unemployment insurance by around double the correct amount. I know this because the state (New York) sends us a notice each time. To resolve the problem, a QB Support article says, “Select Payments, find the overpaid tax, then select Resolve.” I can find the three payments, but, of course, none of them has a Resolve button. There is no indication of overpayment in QB. Questions:(1) How do I get QB to pay the correct amount in the future?(2) To recover the past overpayments, is my only option to seek a refund from the state, or can I have QB apply them to future payments? Thank you for any help.
Within my company, I (the admin) enter all weekly timesheets into QuickBooks time. Therefor, my employees do not need "Access" to QuickBooks time. How can I disable their access while still being able to enter their weekly timesheets. One of the main reasons, is because QuickBooks charges me an additional $10 per employee who has "Access" even though none of my employees need to use it, or even have an account.
I have to login to this website in incognito mode in my browser. Every single time I try post or reply to a post, I get an authentication error and I am in an endless loop of logging in and out. I deleted cookies and my cache and STILLLLLLL the only way is by logging in using incognito mode, which, of course, means 2FA every single time. Can someone tell me WHAT I must do to fix this?
I manually enter checks written into our Quickbooks Online. We don't use the Bill screen or Bill Payments. We enter everything as checks. Suddenly, when I click Save + New, Quickbooks is no longer going to the next check number. It is showing me the same check number that I just entered. I have tried everything - clearing Cache, switching browsers, using incognito screen, turning on and off Custom Transaction Numbers in settings. I have tried EVERYTHING and I do not understand why this is happening. Is anyone else having this issue? We do not print checks, we do not use Quickbooks Payroll, none of that. I simply enter the checks that are written. This is a new issue we have last week. I chatted into Support two days ago and the support woman also couldn't help me. She was just as stumped. Any ideas out there?
I can't find a "task" window to add and the Tasks list in upper corner has nothing in it ever.
Ever month I have to edit all of these transactions for every bank account to add the class code.
When we were quickbooks desktop users and we entered "interest paid" during bank account reconciliations, our interest would always show up in a Class. Currently, with quickbooks online (which we migrated to), at least some of our interest payments show up as "not specified" in a P&L by class report. How can I make them end up in the correct class? Thanks!Brady
