From 15 June 2026, QuickBooks Payroll is changing how it calculates your monthly per-employee charge. What exactly is changing? The way QuickBooks counts employees for billing is changing. Currently, you're billed for every employee whose payroll was run during the month. From 15 June 2026, you'll be billed based on which employees are marked as Active at the start of your billing month. The base fee and per-employee amounts stay the same, only the counting method is changing. What does 'Active' mean? An Active employee is someone currently on your payroll who will be included in your monthly bill. An employee marked as 'Not on payroll' for example, someone on extended leave, a seasonal worker not currently engaged, or someone who has left the business won't be included in your bill. Do I need to do anything before 15 June? Yes! It's worth reviewing your employee statuses before your Billing Day of Month (BDOM). Any employee who isn't currently on a pay run shou

Hello, I need to generate a report that shows transactions over a period of time but grouped with the ones with VAT added (20%) together and those without VAT together so we can see the totals of each group (VAT and no VAT). Is there a report that I can run to show this? I dont want to run the VAT 100 report. Thanks
Need some help!
Hi, is anyone else who uses the GoCardless integration finding that the deposits aren't being created since the 24th March? I contacted support on Monday and went through it in detail yesterday but they told me there hadn't been other reports of this issue. Thanks, Stewart
How do I send it to be paid online ?
The app seems to either not open or takes a very long time (10-15minutes) to open. Happens on mobile data and on home WiFi. iPhone user and need access whilst out and about at work. Anyone else having same issue? Considering leaving Quickbooks due to the inconsistency I’ve had with access over the last few months.
After trying QBO some 14 years ago, and suggesting how important this feature is. Intuit has now finally added a pretty basic function (this was always in the Desktop version) which helps massively with stock control......We now have Item Receipt. Rejoice.
I posted earlier Rin here about the date format being incorrect on purchase orders. I can see a reply in my account but if I try and click the link it just takes me back to the community Home Screen. Can anyone see if this link works or is it me and my five different computers I tried it on? https://quickbooks.intuit.com/community/manage-suppliers-and-expenses-134/purchase-orders-due-date-wrong-format-374808
Any ideas?

A few months ago I was having problems with quick books desktop 2024 I could not save a back up copy, it shut me down and all my payroll remittances came oiut to zero, among other problems. It was suggested here that I download the enterprise trial version, which I did. After 30 days it expired and i was able to download for another 30 days which has now expired. Now I am locked out and can not get into my company file. I still use quick books pro 2024 desktop for another company, but how do i get my quickbooks that is in enterprise and downlaod it to my desktop 2024. Hoping this is possible

Hi, I have what I’m sure is a silly question. Whenever I pay bills with my Current account, transactions are coming up as Bill Payment (Cheque) although I have never chosen Cheque because we don’t use them. When I open the relevant transactions, I can’t see any way to change it so I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. I also had one of the bank charges coming through as a cheque for some reason, unfortunately I didn’t notice it until later: can I change this, and if so can I change it without messing up my reconciliation? Thanks in advanceEvander
Hi, I am having a problem with the Financial activities by Tag Group report, I am sure it’s likely my misunderstanding than an issue with QB! I am running it for this quarter split by month. However, under April for Phone Costs (to make up an example), it’s missing a transaction that was billed in March but paid in April. Is this because it’s under Accrual? When I change the report to Cash basis, then it includes the missing transaction but also Unapplied Cash Bill Expenditures from the Credit Card account so neither Cash nor Accrual basis is matching the total figure I have in my own spreadsheet. I understand there’s a bit of an offset with the Credit Card account because paying it off each month doesn’t exactly match the calendar month but the month in the statement but is there any way to make sure the bill payments are included based on when they were actually paid, not the date on the bill itself? Also is it possible to run a similar report of Financial activities by Tag Group spli
I’m not understanding why, but I’m not able to turn off QBO ML categorization feature despite having tried everything including disabling Suggested Categorization in the banking’s transaction section. I need them to stay uncategorized until matched with receipts coming from Dext which already have them categorized so they can automatically be match with transaction in QBO instead of having to do it manually if just scanned into QBO from the start, but if the transaction are in any other state other than uncategorized while also not being in the For Review stage, they won’t match.

I am working in Intuit QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions: Nonprofit. On 10/2/25 I went in to update my bankfeeds and allocate charges. When I went to click on an account from Bank of America a pop-up appeared that said I needed to update my bankfeeds. To do this I needed to disable bankfeeds for those accounts and reestablish them. When I went to reestablish them only 1 of 7 accounts appears and it's not one that I need. Has anyone else experienced this issue?! Bank of America says they are aware and working on it. QuickBooks says the same... I really don't want to have to manually enter these! UGH!
