The company previously used another accounting system and has finalized financial statements and a trial balance. I’m setting up QuickBooks Online for the first time and want QBO to show the same profit and balance sheet totals. For example, the trial balance shows $100,000 of rent income for the year, but when I try to enter that rent in QBO, it requires an offset (equity, clearing, or another balance sheet account). I’m trying to understand if there is a way in QBO to enter historical income and expenses so profit matches the finalized trial balance without using equity or clearing accounts, or if this is simply how QBO conversions work.
My spreadsheet even though the format is correct wont import, it just spins
Trying to import a budget for 2026 and the template does not support subdivision by class with subclasses. When you look in cell A1 of any of the worksheets the template produces that is a subclass, it only has the name of the <subclass> instead of <Parent>:<Subclass/Child> like it was in our 2025 template. So when we try to import, any budget data that is only part of a single/Parent-only class gets imported.If it is a child/subclass, it does not and errors out as it doesn't recognize the subclass name only because it is of course tied to the parent. We have some subclasses that are the same name as others because they are all qualified by the Parent.Even if we try to input budget data manually, the pull-downs seemed all messed up too - not understanding the class structure at all.It is like subclasses are not recognized or understood anymore in the Budgetting module.

A major error identified - whether it is pensionable earnings setting relating to CPP2. In reconciling our employee T4's we found that employee's CPP pensionable earnings in BOX 26 and therefore BOX16 CPP were incorrect. It also affects the employee's Employment Income total in Box 14. The employees affected are all those who were between the CPP Max and CPP2 max. We contacted Intuit and no one was able to assist in determining why. I am still waiting to hear back as it was supposed to be escalated. Has anyone found that their CCP2 for people between the CCP MAX and CCP2 Max earnings are incorrect for tax year 2025? CPP2 formula: (Box 26 - $71,300) x 4%

I use quickbooks 2021 desktop and when I open the program I am getting a communication error message. It pops up and asks me to fill a report. I have the option to send or not send the report. I have done both (send and not send) the message still pops up when I either open the program, and also when I switch to a previous company.. (I have two company books). Why is this happening.
Hi,When I go in sales tax overview, normally I see a list of the filed periods, and also the current period that needs to be reported.I have not been there since I have reported HST for the third quarter, and today when I went to look at the numbers for the last quarter of the year, They are not there. The top part shows me the second quarter of the year 2025 (april to june) as being the current period that need reporting, and the 1st quarter of 2025 as being the las filed period. I don't know what happens to my data!? I did file first,second, and third quarter of 2025!?! Anybody has any idea?
For years I've had my tax codes set up to combine the 50% GST rebate with the expense as one line item in the expense account. Since switching to modern view, Quickbooks Online now posts 2 line items for every expense - 1 for the sub-total and 1 for the 50% GST. I have to report the expense + the 50% GST to my funders so now I would have to go through and manually add up 2 lines for every expense I have. This is the solution given to me from support which is not feasible. Just looking for some feedback on how other charities are handling their PSBR and if anyone has found a workaround to have the software post one line item.

I HAVE BEEN DIRECTED TO WRITE A CHECK FOR $60,000 TO THE OWNER AND THIS CHECK SHOULD BE DONE THROUGH PAYROLL WITH "NO DEDUCTIONS" I AM UNSURE HOW TO DO THIS AS I TRIED TO AND GOT NERVOUS. THIS AMOUNT ALSO NEEDS TO BE INCLUDED IN THE UPCOMING PAYROLL REMITTANCE NOW DUE. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED. THANKS

Comme indiquer dans le titre, QuickBooks ne me génère pas les T4A pour 2025, seulement pour 2024, or nous avons jusqu'au 28 février 2026 pour les envoyer donc merci de m'indiquer la marche à suivre pour émettre les T4A de 2025 et les envoyer à mes fournisseurs au plus vite. J'ai déjà cherché et il n'est pas possible de sélectionner l'année. Est-ce que QuickBooks va débloquer 2025 bientôt ?

I do not need the service date on each line for each product and service and I have gone in to edit our sales receipts and invoices and taken the "Service Date" section out multiple times, and it is still showing up.I have created new receipts in the custom form styles section and when I go in and try to edit them now it is saying the service date is not selected and therefore should not be populating on our receipts. Unfortunately it still is and if I ever resize my screen QB also decides the Service Date section needs to take up the entire line and the rest of the columns are miniscule. I have cleared my browser cache and history and all of that but nothing changes.Does anyone know how I can actually make this change take effect?
