How do I get rid of manual entered transactions that a r a duplicate of a bank feed?
I have a matching rule. Yes. It is slightly unorthodox for internal reasons, but it is how we manage our books. The image shows that when I click "Test Rule" I get "This rule will apply to 1 currently unreviewed transaction."But, when I go to the Banking tab, QBO refuses the apply the rule. It refuses to use the rule and Instead is wants me to "Add a Card Payment".Refreshing the screen does not help. I have gone into the transaction several times to "Categorize" it correctly, but QBO just keeps insisting on attempting to do the job WRONG.I have over 30 years experience doing what needs to be done to get the books right. Is there some way to get the program to do what it is told instead of acting like a stubborn child that believes it knows everything? Or is the problem just that Intuit is the stubborn children here?
I have two separate bank accounts in my client's QB - PayPal and a normal banking account. The bank account funds the PayPal account via bank transfers and PayPal uses those funds to pay contractors. My question is how do I match 6+ month-old transfers from the bank account to the PayPal account? I was told by the QB support team that anything over 6 months old would not match due to the age of the transaction. If I go into each account and select "transfer" to record the transaction in each bank account, I will see a double entry on my balance sheet thus throwing it off drastically. Instead of recording double entries and then going back into the balance sheet to correct the error (zeroing out or voiding), is there a better way to go about this and essentially not have to do double the work? Thanks in advance!
Typically QB matches up payments that I have deposited with the correct payment receipt in the customer's account. But this week it suddenly stopped "finding" those payment receipts, particularly for mobile deposits, which is how I deposit 99% of our payments. I have already received the payments in the customers' accounts and am using the same procedure I have always used. Did something change on the QB end?
Trying to reconcile and the reconcile page says I'm not ready to begin since there's a huge difference between my current beginning balance and the last successful reconciliation yet I can look at the bank statement where I see the actual beginning balance is exactly the same as the last reconciliation ending balance. So, where does QBO come up with what it thinks is the beginning balance for this session and how can I fix that?
Modern View doesn't have amounts or a balance in the Transaction Journal when you drill down in the Trial Balance. The most ridiculous change I have seen yet. When I switch to Classic View all of the information is there. Accountants need numbers. Who had the idea to remove amounts from default reports?? Please fix this asap or you will have a not of unhappy customers. Anyone else having this major issue?? Thanks.
Attempting to access "Reconcile" and keep getting the set up page. I am a Company Admin (CA) with no restrictions. Our Primary Admin (PA) connected the banks and has done bank reconciliations since our conversion to QBO Advanced from QB Desktop. The PA can see everything under "Reconcile", but I as the CA am not able to see anything. I get this Set Up screen no matter which option/route I use to get there. See attached .jpg for reference. Question: Does each user have to connect to the bank just to see the Reconcile tab, functions, and reports? To my knowledge, though, there is only one login to the bank so will it be impossible for me to see this function?
First off I would like to say that Intuit's rollout of the New Online Bill Pay was abysmal. They did not train their support staff or even mention the change because it took me multiple calls and days to even get an a representative to acknowledge the upcoming change. They all kept trying to route me to bill.com. Secondly, there were known issues with signing up for the new bill pay that the Support staff did not know or made aware of. I spent 2 hours troubleshooting something that was just broken. Third, they did not provide anywhere near enough information about their product and honestly...it feels like half-baked alpha release. If you're going to replace your primary integration with Bill.com, at least make sure your replacement is someone comparable. There are so many things wrong with the service but the main issue being I can't pay one (1) vendor for multiple bills, I have make multiple payment for each bill. Even if you have the Premium Tier plan, it
QuickBooks Online constantly displays what what are essentially ads for Intuit products and services. It is virtually impossible to complete a session without being nagged to buy something I don't need or want. It's ugly and distracting, and given that I pay a hefty monthly fee for QBO, I resent being subjected to it. Having advertising couched as helpful suggestions only makes it more offensive. It's exploitive, obnoxious, and wrong. Stop it.
I change the category to Meal expense. Once I add another transaction it changes the other transaction back to Owner' Pay
I exclude the duplicates and next day they come bank in bak feeds

The dashboard on the home page includes irrelevant information and I'm unable to figure out how to delete those displays and add relevant displays. Any ideas on how to make the dashboard display information that we want to display?
I'd prefer if Quickbooks did not create rules unless I specifically asked for a rule to be created. What is happening to me is that Quickbooks wants to create new rules and then I have to tell it not to do so, which is annoying.
My account has disappeared again. It happened on June 19th. It was logged in on the 17th, I was out of the office on the 18th, when I returned on the 19th and tried to login into to QBOA, it says "We can't find anyone with [email address removed]." Using chrome incognito, I was able to login and chat with an Adriano Jr on the 19th and was told that it's possibly a security issue and it's being looked at on the back end. I did not receive a reference number so I can't check the status of this issue. And, NO ONE can seem to tell me how this happens. How does an account become deactivated when it wasn't done by the firm or the individual, twice in four months????? Since June 19th, I have tried, every day, to login to QBOA and I am still getting the error. This is absolutely ridiculous!!! Am I the only one this is happening to?
I've have almost a dozen transactions impacted by a suggested banking rule that was automatically applied without my knowledge. How do you turn off suggested rules, or at the least prevent the system from automatically applying them?
Starting last week we noticed our workstations in the office required us to Sign in to our Intuit Accounts. We've had this happen before, especially after updates, so we weren't surprised. Now it's been requiring us to do this everyday. Each morning when we log in we get the window "You have been signed out of your Intuit Account. To continue using your Intuit account, sign in now." This is such a hassle. Is there anything to fix this? Thanks
Who is making the AWFUL design decisions at Quickbooks Online?! The Classic View was visually beautiful, easy to read, quick to read, easy on the eyes, and all fit on one page. I just received an email that Classic View is being phased out and replaced with the UGLY, bold, truncated, impossible to read, doesn't fit right on the page, did I mention UGLY and GLARING, BRASH font. I don't need "hundreds of column headers" to waste my time and spend hours formatting. But I do need reports that provide the information in an informative and EASY TO READ manner. Please INTUIT, HIRE A GRAPHIC DESIGNER not just a software programmer. SO DISAPPOINTING. After 15 years of the reports becoming worse and worse, I will be looking thoroughly for a different accounting software. Simply cannot handle the atrocious changes that QBOE continues to make.
I need this feature disabled for my account. I do not trust the accuracy of AI enough to handle any aspect of my business or finances. Considering the expense of AI responses, I assume you could save some money by making it optional.
Problem 1. I can't seem to save favorite locations that are somewhat close to one another but still on different streets. This is true when using the app or QB online with my laptop.Problem 2. Any location I go to within a large radius of a favorite gets assigned to that favorite. And even though it assigns the favorite location to the trip it might show a different address for the favorite(or the location but it appears as if the two are tied together). Due to the poor accuracy the address assigned neither matches the favorite it assigns nor the actual location I was at. And getting it to accept accuracy is often impossible.Problem 3. The accuracy is terrible, is there a way to improve it? And why does it fail to log whole trips?More info - I only have a few favorites assigned and I do not have any rules created. I thought favorites would help with the inaccuracy, or at least, save steps when having to fix it's inaccuracy. Is mileage tracking a fake feature? Is it there just so people
It seems like Quickbooks is no longer automatcally matching my bank transactions to my checking account. I am able to manually match but that is very time consuming. It used to do this automatically and it seems to have stopped since the new update. I have gone through several help screens and tried to ensure the automatic match feature didnt turn off but the instructions given are not what I see on my screen. For instance, the support articles says to Go to transactions > Select Categorized or Reviewed tab > Click settings icon at the top of the transaction list > Turn on automatic matching. However the only think that comes up when I click on the settings Icon is the number of transactions shown on the page. The option to turn on or off automatic matching is no where to be found.Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I need the system be configured in a way that will compute the CIT on the Net Earnings. Afterwards transfer the Profit after Tax to the Retained Earnings in the Balanced Sheet.
I have been trying to log in for two days! My QuickBooks log in (IM THE ONLY USER) says "we cant find anyone with (insert my email here)". I've called customer service multiple times one CRS said "my account is inactive", another said "there is no issue with your account please log in for me". Another said I needed to talk to someone in the back office but needed to wait till the actual office opened at 9am PST. So i waited until 9am PST and would you just guess "There is no way to get you to a manager or anyone in our back office...." I need to run payroll TODAY!! I'm sure my employee would love to get paid! They said "You will have it done by today." when they just told me it could take 3 days!?!? MAKE IT MAKE SENCE! Also one CRS told me my account has been made inactive due to "Strange login activity?" HOW ARE YOU ALLOWED TO INACTIVE MY ACCOUNT WITHOUT MY EXPRESSED PERMISSION?!?!?!? If there is "strange login activity" should you not contact me first and verify?! or contact and have
Hi there - I have deleted some duplicate bills and bill payments that had not been caught and have been included in a previous reconciliation. Now that I'm trying to reconcile again to keep my books organized, I've received a flag for a discrepancy of the beginning balance. I'm struggling to find the right steps to fix. Thanks in advance!
