QuickBooks Q&A

Greetings. We have used QB to pay our payroll taxes automatically for three quarters. Every quarter QB overpays the unemployment insurance by around double the correct amount. I know this because the state (New York) sends us a notice each time. To resolve the problem, a QB Support article says, “Select Payments, find the overpaid tax, then select Resolve.” I can find the three payments, but, of course, none of them has a Resolve button. There is no indication of overpayment in QB. Questions:(1) How do I get QB to pay the correct amount in the future?(2) To recover the past overpayments, is my only option to seek a refund from the state, or can I have QB apply them to future payments? Thank you for any help.
Within my company, I (the admin) enter all weekly timesheets into QuickBooks time. Therefor, my employees do not need "Access" to QuickBooks time. How can I disable their access while still being able to enter their weekly timesheets. One of the main reasons, is because QuickBooks charges me an additional $10 per employee who has "Access" even though none of my employees need to use it, or even have an account.
I have to login to this website in incognito mode in my browser. Every single time I try post or reply to a post, I get an authentication error and I am in an endless loop of logging in and out. I deleted cookies and my cache and STILLLLLLL the only way is by logging in using incognito mode, which, of course, means 2FA every single time. Can someone tell me WHAT I must do to fix this?
I manually enter checks written into our Quickbooks Online. We don't use the Bill screen or Bill Payments. We enter everything as checks. Suddenly, when I click Save + New, Quickbooks is no longer going to the next check number. It is showing me the same check number that I just entered. I have tried everything - clearing Cache, switching browsers, using incognito screen, turning on and off Custom Transaction Numbers in settings. I have tried EVERYTHING and I do not understand why this is happening. Is anyone else having this issue? We do not print checks, we do not use Quickbooks Payroll, none of that. I simply enter the checks that are written. This is a new issue we have last week. I chatted into Support two days ago and the support woman also couldn't help me. She was just as stumped. Any ideas out there?

I can't find a "task" window to add and the Tasks list in upper corner has nothing in it ever.
Ever month I have to edit all of these transactions for every bank account to add the class code.
I loved the new updated email format when sending out invoices to customers. Unfortunately, two weeks ago it reverted back to the old format. Is there a setting that I need to change or did they decide that Desktop users have to stick to the old, out of date style? Has anyone else had this issue?
When we were quickbooks desktop users and we entered "interest paid" during bank account reconciliations, our interest would always show up in a Class. Currently, with quickbooks online (which we migrated to), at least some of our interest payments show up as "not specified" in a P&L by class report. How can I make them end up in the correct class? Thanks!Brady
From Fragmented Tools to a Unified Workforce Platform For years, businesses have used a patchwork of software to handle HR and workforce operations and the inefficiencies have been costly. When employee data lives in disconnected systems, HR managers and business owners end up burning hours on manual data entry and reconciliation, while employees duplicate effort across multiple platforms. This disconnect can result in lost productivity, avoidable errors, and revenue left on the table. QuickBooks Workforce is designed to change that. According to the 2026 Enterprise Technology Benchmark Report, nearly three-quarters of businesses agree that bringing the tools to manage their workforce efficiently into one place is the fastest route to profitability. The platform spans the full employee lifecycle, with tools that include: Hiring through Offboarding: A guided, automated workflow covers each stage of employment. How do I remove the invasive Intuit Experts page under Accounting? Accounting used to default to Bank Transactions, which is something I access every day. Now it defaults to Intuit Experts, something I will never use, since it's just a big ADVERTISEMENT!
We are having an issue with W2's not showing in our Workforce apps. Our paycheck stubs are there but when we try to access the W2, we get an error message."Your employer is not filing your W2 through Quickbooks payroll this year..." But they have been there in the past.Thank you

The paycheck history report is broken down into sections1.Pay2. Other Pay 3. Employee Taxes4. Employee Deductions5. Employer Taxes16. Company paid contributions7. Time Off Am I correct that the paycheck history report is broken down into 7 sectionsDoes the employee have a report on Workforce App that shows these same exact 7 sections Vacation shows as a unique pay type in section 1. And vacation balance shows up in section 7. Eureka hours show up as a unique pay type in section one but Eureka balance shows up under the collective heading “PAID TIME OFF” in section 7. How can I make Eureka hours show up as its on unique line in section 7 I paid a person 16 bereavment hours and that shows up in section 1 but shows as negative balance in section 7. Why? As previously discussed we reward employees that have good attendance with " Eureka Hours ". These are not accrued

HELP I did not renew QB Desktop Enterprise 24 in April 2026 and showed I would have a View Only option for one year after canceling When I try & log in it states my One Year View only has expired? This is incorrect - I should have access to View Only for 1 year. I called & was told they were "working on this problem & I would be emailed" Have heard nothing. Feel like I was given wrong information stating they would email me - anyone experience this or have advice. I am completely locked out of logging in?????
Before QB changed their design about a year or so ago, I used to be able to do a search by description. Now that feature is missing. Is it possible to search by description anymore? I enter itemized invoices in that section and when I needed to search for details, I would use that category. Now I can't. Any help would be appreciated. Karen
