Can anyone help me with instructions on how to import an Excel Budget File? We have a very extensive chart of accounts. Our budget is broken down by each account by month. Our budget varies considerably from year-to-year so it makes more sense to import new numbers. Thank you

Hello! I have an employee who worked in Montana and a little in Idaho. I recently discovered that I forgot to change his withholding back to Montana after processing an Idaho check. So, there are four checks that have Idaho withholding, even though all the withholding should be for Montana. How do I efficiently change the withholding back to Montana? Can I do that without voiding the checks? Thank you!

I am a solo consultant who does NOT bill by the hour. I have used QB desktop for Mac for 20 years for my basic accounting but the price is getting high and I'm trying to figure out which Online version makes sense for me. I have not tied my bank to QB and don't intend to. Also don't carry inventory and no payroll function needed. The main functions I use are: 1. Creating invoices (using a custom template... needs to look professional). I print to PDF and email clients... No more than 6-8 invoices per month, usually more like 4-5.2. Tracking outstanding invoices and recording payments against those invoices.3. Tracking expenses, including assigning some to clients/projects for profitability (although this is not really essential).4. Sales Tax tracking5. Reporting-P&L-Year over year comparisons- Open invoices- Revenue by Client6. An added bonus would be to assign cost of goods expenses to a client/project. I work for a private school. The families need tax statements at the end of each tax year so they can deduct what they pay for child care off of their taxes. We are having a heck of a time finding a suitable statement to give our families out of QBO! Has anyone solved this issue and willing to share how you get this information out of QBO in a format suitable to give to families?
I am missing a step and need help, please. I set up a "Reimbursement" Payroll item, so that I could make an "Employee Advance" that could be paid through the payroll system and not have taxes taken out, as Payroll Expenses (QBO automatically chose this). I set up the deduction in his profile, which will hit the other current asset account. Is there a way to code the payroll item so that it will tie directly in with the Employee advance, in the other current asset account, so that the original payment (on his paycheck) and the deductions (on each paycheck) will all hit this account? This way, I will not have to make any JE's and it all comes up on the report for employee advances.

This is probably the wrong board, my apologies for that. I just started a new business, not entirely new to QBO, but still learning the new UI changes but the new updated Square Integration app seemed to have been working okay. What I have noticed though is that there may be a potential bug(s) with the integration. First thing, is there used to be a manual refresh option on the Square app I thought. Is that no longer available or does it refresh when you manually trigger the bank refresh as well? The potential bug, Normal invoicing done via Square works fine. Send it to the customer, customer pays transactions pulled in. I have noticed though when you send an invoice to a customer, but then you update the invoice prior to it being paid, resend that to the customer.
