In the morning today 3/25/2024 I processed a sales receipt without any problems. By the afternoon, some sort of update had taken place requiring a tax location on each item added to a sales receipt. When I would try to assign a tax location, the whole transaction would cancel out and I would be back to the customer screen. I thought this had to be a mistake. Why in the world would it be necessary to assign a tax rate to each individual item on every sales receipt? Isn't a tax location for the whole sales receipt enough? I then deleted and downloaded QBO, but this time it was even worse: All the tax rates were gone. So then I called Intuit and the rep told me that Intuit does not support the App. This whole thing has brought my mobile business to a grinding halt. I don't know if there is a way out of this. I just don't understand how Intuit can treat its customers this way.
Today the QuickBooks application on iPhone 15 iOS 17.2.1 crashes when trying to download or open an attachment. I’ve tried with my phone and spouses. Responds the same. Offloaded the app, restarted phone, redownloaded. And the same … crashes app and goes to apples Home Screen. No warning just blinks off. I’m in the vendor section of Quickbooks app and tap the paperclip and crashes. Help?
When I launch the app on both iPhone and iPad the starter screen appears then immediately shuts down. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app and restarted both devices multiple times.
I get it. Security is important, but who decided....When user is logged out every 3 hours due to inactivity, logging back in to a tab takes that user back to the home screen instead of reopening where the tab last was.....Why does every other open tab still needs refreshed - seems that logging in should refresh all automatically. And when another open tab is refreshed after inactivity, why does it also reverts back to the home screen?Don't most users have 4-5 tabs open minimum during sessions? Who thunk forcing every one of us to remember and reopen all tabs to get back to where we were was a good idea?.Lastly, can that person be forced to use QBO desktop app? I figure that is when this obvious shortfall will be fixed? And why did this 3 hour signout start happening only a week ago - hasn't been a problem all year long.
The only option I get is Start Employee Self Set up?
Before the hard switch to the Modern Reporting, reports were exported to excel with the account grouping intact. Since the change reports only export flat with no option to update it. This has impacted the consistency of reporting across periods. Would like to know if the export with grouping will be restored.
When creating a report it defaults to the modern layout. Then when you switch the layout to Classic View. It does not stay in the Classic view. Once to the Classic View and you want to for example open an expense account that report opens back up in the Modern view. This is frustrating as the Modern reporting is not what I want to view the report in. Is there a way to make the Classic report the permanent default layout?
Is anyone else having an issue with scanning receipts and it giving an error message to try again but when you go to your receipt review it has duplicated? I scan a lot of receipts for a general contractor that needs them scanned, matched and separated by job. This is causing a lot of extra hours that I cannot bill the client for to clean up. I worked for free this weekend cleaning up these mistakes and on top of that receipts that didn't match even though it should have so I had to do a manual search for a lot of them! Side note: Intuit QuickBooks is crazy if they think they are going to make money charging for AI services. Is Intuit QuickBooks going to pay for the actual person that has to fix the mistakes???
I am a bookkeeper that has a client that used QB payments back in 2019-2020. Her bank account will reconcile but only if I do not match received payments to deposits because I cannot verify what payments belong to what deposits. QB support said that QB only holds 2 years of statements so there is not a way for me to get those years and the client does not think they saved them. The payment ID shows in the memo for all of the QB payments received but because QB auto recorded the 'receive payment' it appears they are all still sitting in Undeposited Funds with no way to change the account it was deposited to. This has created a massive balance in undeposited funds even though the money was deposited to the bank (I understand this account is a temp hold for transactions until the actual deposit is in the bank). I am concerned since I cannot verify the received payments are accurate and have no way of know which deposit they were apart of that it will create more issues. When I do match rec
I've closed my prior bank accounts and opened new ones in another bank. The old accounts are at the top of my list in Dashboards. I'd like the new ones to be on top.
Help! I just logged in to QB online, and the page it takes me to when I log in has completely changed. All the bookmarks that were on the left side of my screen are completely gone. How can I get it back to the way it was?!?
Everything was working great until an update in either December or January in which the tracker now only tracks sporadically. I changed nothing in my settings (I did turn it off and back on to see if that helped). I’ll go days with having to enter my trips manually then one day it will work then it’s back to not tracking at all.
I tried to change the password following the step by step sent, but they informed me that they did not find my user. They sent me a link to follow another way, but the link doesn't work, here's the link: https://community.intuit.com/content/p_na_na_gl_cas_na_article:L367nlElJ_US_en_USI need to access my account to get my W-2 form and declare my fees. I was an exchange student in 2022 and worked at the Best Western Ambassador Inn & Suites in Wisconsin Dells, they put my payslips in Quickbooks and all my work documents were available in my account. I ran a transaction report by clicking the total expenses on my P&L. The resulting transaction report (and many other reports) doesn't have the option of switching to modern view. Modern view affects whether I can save a custom report to a group, I learned yesterday. So why is modern view not always available?
In Custom Reports, when I select Create New Report, and then select Expenses, I cannot setup a filter by Class - it's greyed out. I need to be able to filter expenses by class. Is there a workaround or a fix coming?
Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't feel that the new "modern reporting view" is helpful at all. It seems much harder to drill down to what I'm looking for. Is there a way to turn that option off so it defaults to the classic view?
Hello. I have an issue that I've not encountered before involving a Stripe payout. Typically, when a Stripe deposit occurs (which is almost daily), I simply "Match" it. A week ago, a Stripe deposit went into the company bank account for which I am unable to use the "match" function in QuickBooks. Upon researching, I found this deposit consists of 3 payments, however only 2 of those payments are in the "Bank deposit" area of QuickBooks which is where they normally hang out until they are matched. However, all 3 payments can be identified in the P&L account. So if I match the 2 available payments and then do a journal entry for the 1 that's not there, it will end up in the P&L twice. Has anyone experienced this before? How can I get this deposit categorized correctly? Thank you for your help!!
