QuickBooks Q&A

Since the last update when I select a customer and select create a new job QuickBooks’s no longer populates the main customer billing information. The other desktop in the office still shows this information. How to I fix this? When I create a new job for a customer I do not want to manually enter their billing information every time. This is quite annoying.
Why Intuit QuickBooks Desktop is not honoring the Discontinue of Usage & Analytics Study anymore in 2026?I just "discontinue" yesterday and today is ON again? Now is like the Discontinue button is "not working" any more.
My desktop version of QuickBooks for Mac 2020 was running well on my Macbook Air 2020 running Sonoma 14.8.2 iOS. I just bought and waiting to receive a new Macbook Air 2025 running Tahoe iOS. Will QuickBooks for Mac 2020 work on a new Macbook Air running Tahoe iOS? Google says it won't because QuickBooks for Mac 2020 is not officially compatible with the latest macOS versions but I wanted to hear responses from others so I know how to proceed.
I can’t create Invoices using QB Online. No matter how I go at it (Create>Customer>Invoice) or from the Customer Screen… each time I open a blank invoice screen there is a pop up requiring that I link my bank accounts to QB payment processing. I don’t want to do this. I will never want to do this.QB is stuck in a loop. The only two options are to sign up or “Do this later”. “Do this later” means QB prompts me the very next attempt to create an invoice, which is blocking me out of *ever* being able to create an invoice.I pay $250+ per month for this basic software. The glitches and popups for an overpriced application are absurd. Please tell me how to get out of this f---ing loop, so I can keep my business running, and create some invoices.
We own 2 licenses for Desktop 2018. Had a computer crash last year, and didn't have a chance to deactivate the copy of QB on it. When I called to have my license restored, I was told, "Tought nuggies, we don't support 2018 anymore". This left a very, very sour taste in my mouth. All QB had to do was push a button at their end, but no, the idea is to force me to buy the latest version. We are very minor users with a very small business that doesn't support spending like that. Now we both use the same copy and have to make sure we aren't both trying to access QB at the same time. Is there any solution for us? Just thought I'd ask the community instead of just bad mouthing Intuit to everyone I see.
Hello ~ On May 25, 2026 Intuit took out $1,149.00 from my credit card on file, but now I am receiving a notice that I need to pay again, or QuickBooks will not allow me access to my accounts? Is this correct? or a scam
I would like to completely remove these two employees from my list all QuickBooks setting because they have never got through to the onboarding process. Deborah & Urken
This is QuickBooks Self-Employed. The bank account has been permanently closed and I cannot authenticate with the bank. QuickBooks is repeatedly requiring me to reconnect. I need the bank-feed connection disabled/removed without deleting the existing categorized transactions or historical transaction data.
App will not open anymore. Splash screen says “App is not available in my region”. Insane. I’m located in the US. Did they disable the mobile app and call it something else? Need to track mileage. I had all my accounts connected. The app just will not open. My accountant can’t connect anymore. Tried to delete and reinstall. Still says “App not available “.
Scheduled report was deleted but user still receive the email of the report. How to check what went wrong?

I have QB Desktop Pro. I have tried using the Intuit Data Protect to restore my cloud back up to a new hard drive on my PC. I am logged in and it recognizes that a good back up was completed on 9/10/2026. However, it tries to look on my PC for back ups and only finds older back ups that are not relevant. I am unable to find a way for IDP to find the cloud backup it clearly says is good but doesnt give me access. How do I get access with IDP to my cloud back up?I am unable to find any phone support phone number.John
It shows I have a money to deposit from 4 months ago. But it has already been cleared in the statement.
Entered my receipts are not being processed.
Hi, I noticed that I was charged for my QuickBooks Online subscription today after my free trial ended. I was not expecting the charge and I do not wish to continue with the paid subscription.I have canceled the subscription and would like to request a refund for the charge made today. Since the charge was just made today, I would really appreciate it if you could make a one-time exception and refund the amount.
Email to Support at QBOverview of What HappenedOur company recently received a large payment from one of our biggest clients, a client we've successfully worked with for over three years. Instead of processing the payment as expected, our payment processor, QuickBooks, placed a hold on the funds and requested additional documentation, including bank statements and a copy of our contract with the client. What made this especially frustrating was that QuickBooks stated our account had a $50,000 inbound transaction limit. However, I have multiple emails from QuickBooks confirming that our account is approved for a $500,000 rolling 30-day limit. The information being provided was completely inconsistent. To comply with their requests, I was forced to go back to a major client and ask permission to share a confidential contract with a third-party payment processor. This was not only embarrassing, but it also put me in a position that conflicted with the confidentiality expectations outlined i
Seeking some way to import an estimate -- typically an Excel or comma-delimited file -- directly into QB (preferably Online) such that it is recognized as an estimate (whether mapped manually or automatically). Based on cursory web searches and perusing this forum, it appears that the only way to import anything -- estimate or otherwise -- into the transactions database is as an .iif.Further, based on the existence of many plugins that claim to offer interoperability with Excel, my current best guess is that such a transmittal would entail a somewhat involved conversion process. Seeking confirmation or advice either way. Thanks.
I've checked with my bank RBC and they have confirmed that flagged logins are from Intuit
In QB starter or basic, I’m now seeing “Classes” tags and a “Location” field. At first I thought I had selected “Bill” instead of “Expense!” More pointless, annoying “features” to keep the developers busy at Intuit, I see. We have a very small business using Cash basis accounting. Remember a couple of years ago when QB pushed TAGS on us? Then once you started using them, they took the “feature” away and were on to some other new shiny object. Can’t even run reports based on tags anymore either. Ridiculous. I’ve gone to Settings-->Advanced and there is no ability to turn Classes nor Location off in Expenses that I can see.
We build estimates with detailed and long line item descriptions which provides clarity to our customers about what specific work will be done. For example we will add a line on the estimate with a full paragraph describing services, but put the rate as $0.00. When we turn the estimates into invoices and click “print” or e-mail the invoice, all of the descriptions are completely erased. Since this new update, we have had to take extra time adding back these descriptions making it super tedious. Why has this been happening and is there a solution?
The latest update of the Shopify Connector by Inuit in September of 2026 has replaced the ability of a user to configure if shopify transaction are imported as sales receipts or invoices, with an automatic decision to import B2B transactions as invoices, and B2C transactions as Sales Receipts. The prior version had a configuration option to allow transactions to be imported as either Invoices or Sales Receipts. The designation of a customer in Shopif as B2B or B2C requires that a customer have a company and fill out a form prior to buying in Shopify. This is a Shopify requirement so unless a customer fllows the Shopify manual forms process, all new customers end up as B2C in Shopify. This results in all new customer transactions being imported as sales receipts, and it is currently not possible to configure the connector to import the shopify transaction as an invoice for B2C customers. The impact on our company is huge as we have all of our workflows and processes set to use invoi
For some reason in December 2025 QuickBooks put us on a 5 day payroll processing delay. For the last 9 months I’ve been submitting requests for next day payroll processing, either once or twice a month depending on what the rep tells me to do. I still have 4 open cases but the people employed by QuickBooks to review them aren’t opening/reviewing mine. I’m at my limit of frustration. We are and have always been in complete compliance of every standard needed for next day payroll processing. Every time I call its a 2 hour conversation that ends up with the statement “I’m the highest level of support. There’s no one higher than me. Lets submit another request. This time I’ll escalate the issue and you will be approved”. The last 3 calls have gone like thisI can tell you that the reason your being denied isn’t the reason you’re being told. It’s internal information that I cant release to you. You have processed too many requests for next day funding. You need to wait 60 days before process
i have custom reports I’ve been using for years that compare actuals vs prior year by class for specific classes within our organization. It is now not populating data for all of the classes or populating partial data. I tried running the same report using Standard Reports and it is doing the same thing. I haven’t done anything to change the classes or anything of that nature. HELP
I hope someone can help me here with this absolutely awful situation QB has forced upon me. I am a small sole business owner. I’m not an accountant or book keeper. I’ve been a Desktop Pro Plus user for over 20 years. In May I was forced to migrate from Desktop Pro Plus 2023 to QBO due to Desktop being withdrawn by QB. I could not afford to pay for Desktop Enterprise as a small business so I went to QBO. As part of the migration, I had to first migrate from Desktop Pro 2023 to a trial version of Enterprise as I was told my Desktop 2023 was too old to jump straight to QBO. From Desktop Enterprise I was then migrated to QBO. So far so good & the multiple people I dealt with during migration were good & helpful. However what I didn’t do was create a P&L & balance sheet on the day of migration so to check it was all correct. I know that was a stupid mistake now but I’m not a professional book keeper & it didn’t even occur to me to check those things straight af
